Commercial property – Landmark buildings in the North West
Published in the July edition.
Iconic is a much-overused word, but there are a certain amount of landmark buildings in use as commercial spaces, and in this feature we’ll run the rule over some grand old places brought back to life by refurbishment. How much of a premium can be placed on being in a building praised in Pevsner? How do the running costs compare with more modern space and at what point do the negatives outweigh the positives? We're thinking office blocks, warehouses, etc.
